Sonshine Preschool is a weekday preschool program at Spring Hills Baptist Church. Our mission is to minister to families by providing children with a positive preschool learning experience in a loving, Christ-centered environment. The program will address the spiritual, emotional, mental, social, and physical needs of the children. Our pre-k classes are designed to prepare children for a successful kindergarten experience. It is our goal to share God’s love as we teach and care for children, encourage parents, and help build up the home.
History
Sonshine Preschool was started in 1991 in Director Anita Jones' home in Granville. It began with 2 classes and a total of 12 students. By 1992 there was such a demand that Sonshine Preschool moved to Spring Hills Baptist Church with 4 classes and 44 students. In 2004, Sonshine Preschool moved to its current location in the new preschool wing of the church. The new location offers bigger classrooms, indoor multi-level jungle gym and play area, larger outdoor play areas, and a lot more! Today, Sonshine Preschool continues to grow and now has 10 classes, 12 staff members, and 125 students.
